Very excited to have a studio again all thanks to the Gear Factory. It has been five long years since I had a dedicated space to make art.
This has been an absolute necessity to get ready for my upcoming exhibition at the Wasmer Gallery at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Here are a few sneak peek images of work I am doing for this exhibition:
I am currently working with scanned images of a 1lbs cherry-flavored gummy rabbit. From these scanned images of the gummy and the container
that the gummy came in, I have printed these images onto a fabric and manipulated these images into a soft sculptural form.
I have also been working on a series of forms that I am calling sea-porks. These objects are made from discarded pieces of foam that wrap in a layer of Apoxie and adorn with beads.
